The winemaking in steel vats strengthens the characteristics of the variety, enhancing the sense of freshness and olfactory fragrances.
In the ampelographic Piedmontese landscape, Barbera is certainly the variety that stands out the most from the gastronomic point of view: the tannin content and incisive acidity, in fact, given it certain food-wine pairing capabilities and allows pairing with more exuberant, full-flavoured and fatty dishes.
Tasting notes
Ceretto Barbera a'Alba Piana is a juicy red wine with an attractive bright ruby red colour and a nose of fragrant ripe red fruits. On the palate, it is fruity, intense and crisp, with marked tannins and pleasant acidity.
Food match
The Barbera d’Asti DOC Piana of Ceretto is considered a meal wine. It is perfect with starters like cold cuts and cheeses or with tasty sauces.
